Madhubani paintings by my brother - Dilip Puranik
Earlier also I forwarded and also kept them as status.
What an amazing art by Dilip dada. Few things about my brother who is creating these wonderful piece of art. He is a retired Chief Manager Bank of India. He studied in Hyderabad, where he also was an active member of Marathi theatre. Not only that he also acted 8n couple of Doordarshan serials then. Given the typical middle class joint family background with 4 brothers, he inculcated all these skills on his own. Though he had inclination to this as whenever he used to visit our hone town Beed, he used to act in local cultural events and used to stay back for Ganesh Festival. He is an artist by nature, a very calm silent, polite person by heart. While he was doing all of this, he also built his strong friendship bonds in Hyderabad and they are still connected to each other's with families even at the retirement stage. Even today, they arrange get togethers and have nice times and cherish the nostalgia.
He also is a successful family man where provided best Education to his sons and they are on their best path of their professional lives. Both of them work for top global IT companies (Cognizant n Microsoft) today. It's with pride, I have to say that both of them got selected through Campus. The reason I mention here is to say that he succeeded well as a good father. He had to move to Pune from Hyderabad for their studies. Upon migration to Pune within no time he again built a drama group of bank employees and participated in numerous inter bank, regional and national drama competitions. He played multiple roles here, stage arrangements, make up, music, writing and acting. What a different dimensional personality. More so he is famous to draw the paintings in a live drama or music performance, I am fortunate to attend few of such events, including practice sessions. His one act play on families left alone in India when there children settled abroad and are not bothered about their parents is just mind boggling. More so, this a mime play where only acting and music plays the entire theme. One can't stop crying while watching this. He did have some serious health issues where again he fought very positively and came out strong all the times. I alongwith his own family members, have witnessed his strong will power whenever he fought with serious illness.
Now you would ask me, why do I have to mention all this, there is a strong reason behind this. He got retired from his services and immediately took painting as his full time hobby to engage himself. After running on toes at every moment of life till his sixties, one could have always preferred to relax at home with decent retirement benefits offered by the Bank. However, passion is something does not allow you do so, and he kept going. Please go through the paintings that he drew during lick down and there are dozens of other amazing piece of arts.
I wanted to put off my hats for this wonderful personality. Wishing him best of health, prosperity, cheerful and happy life ahead for centuries to come. Best regards Dada. ๐๐ป๐๐ป
