 GACS - bright  ray  of hope .. Corporate 2nd Home for me

Today if I don't write I will never forgive myself.  This is a true story of GACS - Global Association for Corporate Services.  A group of facilities professionals have come together and created a big platform for professionals in real estate, facilities management, shared services, support services. I came in contact with this during my Hyderabad stay. Thanks to Haraprasad Panda ji who actually pulled me in here.  I was skeptical but attended Hyderabad chapter installation at The Trident ...And it was like love at first sight.  I also got a good friend Srineel here who carries a smile on his face always. Who also is one of the senior fraternity member.  What a work they are doing...Am zapped to look at the passion, dedication, hardwork and efforts put in to create this. Moreover, everyone is holding a higher management positions in their professional journey.... handling such big portfolios, how could they spend these honest efforts which will benefit the fraternity as a whole and every aspect of the domain is well addressed.  On the Hyderabad chapter opening, Sameer Saxena was talking over one and half hour and I could see the inner passion within his speech to do something for the fraternity ...They are big dreamers and they also make it happen.  These guys are fuelled with over energy,  their reach is just unimaginable, and they connect very strong.  Let it be industry connect, executing innovative concepts, social responsibility and so on... endless it is. 

Subsequently I attended 15 to 20 different events.  Some on office furniture concepts, some on office utilities, space management, travel management, safey aspects. Real time challenges and it's solutions are discussed, implemented and shared for achieving  operational efficiency at sites. Awards on green initiatives, cost efficiency projects, out if the box concepts etc.   

All big bosses some are MDs, some CEOs,  all vertical facility and real estate leaders what a talent pool they got. Charismatic leaders like Arvind Babu and others. Please forgive me if names are missed in flow of writing. You can always read your name if you are a co-passenger in this Air bus.   I always penalise myself as why it took me so long to get in here. Nevertheless it's never too late to start.  

By the time I enjoy this fully, Covid 19 came and I had to come back to Pune...Last session I attended with Panda Saab was at co-working spaces in Financial District....

But what Covid can do of these warriors...They took back their swords and started riding the horses even during pandemic by arranging various seminars on how do we handle the crisis ...how to handle new normal ...The SOPs are made for office sanitization, traveling following distance, office entry and exit processes.  Not less than 100 documents are generated with detailed information and to do lists.  This was including office cleaning,  changing of taps, auto sensors everywhere, employee care and their well being.  You believe or not over 100 seminars conducted.  Some on office lightning, water management, building management, safety.  I must tell the entire 1st  lockdown I survived only due to these interesting seminars either on Zoom, WebEx etc.  Helping companies who are asking for helps, everyone pulled their sleeves and they all worked together for benefit of society.  Literally some dropped the HK staff in their personal vehicles to various sites to run the show and operations. No boundaries or barriers to make it happen.  I must tell you these guys have different genes and they are made in special soil. 

A big gang of ex- Army, Navy is backbone of this group like Capt. Rajesh  Col. Ashok Prabhakar and so many others...Who have witnessed toughest times in their service to nation. 

In between things changed ... Slowly it was turning to be positive...Again the horses geared up with more pace and our dear Panda Saab (Kapston) hosted meetings in his office.. Following all protocols...Some were online....As a follow-up he again conducted another meeting ....A big hearted personality....

But our fate ...2nd wave started and things again distorted...But warriors never leave the hope ...In between lot many of us got positive ...Here again the teams are running 24 x 7 to handle the crisis.  What I liked most is everyday we are all having a meeting at 7.30 pm where in Col. Ashok ji has started a daily yoga session followed by positive vibes speech...I started attending once I recovered a bit from Covid .. what a relief after attending this....We are fortunate that for past one week Sri Sri Ravishankar Guruji is part of these sessions online ...I almost felt like that Guruji is just at my home during the session.  Hats off to Col. Ashok Saab for this everyday sessions with lot of passion.  I am just addicted to it now. One must attend this and feel the difference.  Everything is absolutely free ...No charge.  What a dedication and devotion, hats off sir ji in real sense and not for the sake of writing.

Not only this, every week you get available positions where you can apply across industries, all levels.  There are leaders of week whom you interact and get solutions to your problems.  Lot of social work on food supply so on and so on.  Copied below is the website for all details on gacs.
